We get asked this question a lot! Here is a quick explanation of what our site is named after:
Read/Write is a storage device you can read from and write to with data. Whether you are coding up a storm or writing the next Shakespeare on your website, an R/W device will be helping you store your communications along the way. In its simplest form, these devices allow us to communicate with technology!
While Read/Write technology is not new, it still touches almost all areas of information technology in some way.

New Zealander Richard MacManus founded this site as ReadWriteWeb in 2003 and grew his blog about the changing Internet into an international team of journalists.
